You know, I appreciate self-help books. I’ve talked about them enough. They all emphasize the same thing, it’s important to set goals. They stress setting small daily achievable goals along with monthly, quarterly, seasonal and yearly goals. Essentially, your life needs to be a map of interconnecting points that represent goals. That’s right. Get out of the house. It is springtime, you and your kids need to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the day. I read a review of a book today that really struck a nerve. The book is called Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder. Written by Richard Louv in 2005, the book discusses the profound impacts on the physical, spiritual and emotional health our children are dealing with because fewer and fewer actually just go outside to play. Teletubbies! Get Up and Go, Go, Go!

In March of 2000, the Teletubbies hosted their first National Day of Exercise. This year, the Teletubbies National Day of exercise will take place on May 17, 2006. According to their press release, there will be a special broadcast of Go! Exercise with the Teletubbies on PBS Kids. I encourage you to let your children check it out.
